LOFT: Try-On

With very little time to myself this summer, it’s been difficult to squeeze in many try-on sessions. I did manage to get into our Loft quickly yesterday to see what was new and try a few things on for you guys. Many of these pieces are 40% off online, but if you can make it into a store, they are offering 50% off right now!

Unless otherwise noted, I’m wearing an XS or size 0, which is my typical Loft sizing for reference.

Dress

This dress was one of the first things that caught my eye. The pink ruffles had me. Although it may look rather fancy, it’s actually made of a light-weight sweatshirt material making it super comfortable!

Dress

Another pretty dress that I was drawn to. I love the black, grey, pink leopard combo and how versatile this dress could be. It has a tie waist and the prettiest sleeve detail…

I went with a Small in this dress whic fit well for me.

Dress

One final dress I took back with me was this sweet, sleeveless one. I love the soft colors and the ruffle details. I have on a Small but would have gone with an XS had one been in stock.

Top / Jeans

I liked the slightly heavy weight of this top. Simple and cute with a good length to it. I tried on these denim which were not a great fit for me. The waist fit TTS for me but the legs were skin tight.

Tank

They had a ton of adorable work-wear pieces in store. The built-in collar and shirt tail on this tank make it an easy toss on and go piece. I’m wearing a Small here as they didn’t have an XS in store, but I think I could have gone either way on this one. The Small just had a little bit looser of a fit.

Tank

Can’t go wrong with this one in leopard print!

Shirt / Skirt

I adore the lavender shade of this blouse and how beautiful is this skirt?! It looks and feels like something you’d find at Anthropologie but at a fraction of the price.

Tank

This light weight sweater tank was a really good piece. This could be worn with everything from denim and a fall jacket, tucked into an a-line skirt, or worn over trousers as I am here. I can’t remember if I had the XS or S on here, but I’m thinking I grabbed the S.

Top / Pants

Of course I came home with this leopard top! It’s basically a heavy t-shirt, but I loved that I could throw it on with trousers just as easily as I can (and will) with joggers. I tried these trousers on in my last try-on in red and this time I finally caved and ordered them in olive for fall. I’m not always a huge fan of Loft bottoms, but these are just so good! I’d say you should order your TTS Loft size, I’m wearing a 0 (but I’m more of a true size 2).

Top

I loved the detail on this top. Especially the ruffled hem on back…

Top

Another pretty top with eyelet detail on the sleeves.

Sweater

This is a great late summer sweater. Or perfect for air conditioned offices! I love the scoop on the back which gives it some added interest…

Sweater

I have on a small here which fit well. I needed it especially for the added arm length.

Jacket

This is a really good, clean-cut denim jacket. I’m wearing the XS here which gave me a nice, fitted look, had plenty of arm length and has just the right amount of stretch.

Shirt / Pants

Here’s a better look at the trousers that I had on for most of this try-on. You can see how flattering the wide leg is and works well with flats or heels. This top was one of my favorites. It was the same print as the dress I tried on, but I loved the long sleeves on it. It’s light-weight, would look amazing with white denim and could go more casual or dressy depending on what you were going for. I may have to go back for this one!

Here’s a closer look at the detail. So pretty!

Love Loft: Try-On

Happy July, guys!! We seem to have finally hit our summer groove in our household. The days are stretched a little longer, my kids seem to be turning into little fish and our grill is getting nearly daily use. I love celebrating the 4th, but hate to see it pass as summer always seems to fly by afterwards! That’s when I need a daily reminder to make sure we do ‘all the things’ before it’s too late.

In honor of July 4th, I figured I may as well do more of a patriotic try-on. Loft makes it easy with plenty of red, white and blue to choose from. I also threw in some leopard because as you’ll see, there are some adorable options! Right now, you can get 50% off dresses and tops and 40% off just about everything else! For reference, I’m 5’7″ and typically wear a size 0 or XS in Loft and Lou & Grey clothing unless otherwise noted. Also, these are the sandals that I’m wearing throughout this post. As another option, how cute are these?!

dress

I quickly fell for this adorable, striped maxi dress. It’s as through I’m walking around in a cozy nightgown looking cute and pulled together!

dress

I had to try on this little number because I knew it would be adorable. It’s light and flowy with a cute tie waist. This could obviously be dressed up with heels, but would look great for work with a black blazer layered over top.

dress

One more dress for this try-on session and it’s this cute, casual Lou & Grey striped dress. It’s made of a thicker linen and can be worn tied at the waist or left loose and undone. You could even throw on a fitted white tee underneath for a different, layered look!

tee (not yet available online) / shorts

I haven’t been able to track down this striped tee with beaded cherry detail online yet, but you may be able to find it in store. The shorts are Lou & Grey and are much more muted in color than this image is showing. I’m more often an XS in L&G but went with a S in these as they were running a little small.

top / pants

I love the gingham on this top but the fit wasn’t quite right on me. The top was too loose for comfort which may have been in part due to the fact that it doesn’t have any type of hook/closure. The wide-leg pants however, were a fantastic fit and they come in a handful of colors.

pants

Here’s a better look at them. I love the wide leg and cropped length. They are perfect with flat sandals but would also look cute with a little kitten heel.

top

Here’s another wrap top that had a better fit on me. There was a snap closure on this one at the bust that kept things in place. All I’m missing with this look are my patriotic stars!

top / pants

This top was another piece that came home with me. It’ll be so versatile year-round to layer with and I love the playful print. I went with a small here which gives a great drapy, loose fit.

top / skirt

Here you can see it styled more for a business environment with this chic shift skirt (say that three times fast!). The skirt has a great fit and you can see more of the pocket detail here…

skirt
sweater / shorts

If you need a great beach pullover sweater, this is your guy! It’s very soft and cozy and I tried it on with these bermuda denim shorts. I sized up to a small in the sweater so it was a little roomy and the shorts were a size 2.

shirt / shorts

I loved this striped shirt. I loved having the sleeves rolled and knowing it could be worn tied, tucked or untucked for some added versatility. The shorts were another great find…

shorts

They have a very modest length to them and could potentially be worn for casual work environments through the summer. I love the added button detail on the waist.

top / shorts

Here’s a better look at the look and length of shorts overall. They are actually navy despite looking black in these images.

tee

This cute tee was very soft and comfortable! I’d prefer for it to be a little shorter to work better with my predominantly high-waisted bottoms, but for those of you that aren’t into the high waist, you’d like this one.

top / denim

I’ll end with this cute, casual yet festive look. I love the more muted red on this striped top as well as the cute flutter sleeves. The jeans were a good find too! I’m wearing a 2 in them and they fit really well with just a bit of stretch to them.

LOFT Try-On

Hi guys! Some of you may have already begun enjoying your long weekend, yay! I’m excited for sunshine, some pool-time, a Memorial Day race with my eldest, a picnic with friends and of course the sales that are inevitable! I ran in to Loft yesterday to do a try-on and ended up finding some really great pieces I’m excited to share with you all! I brought home a few things that I wouldn’t have expected but I’m so happy to have found. One of those being these sandals. I took them into the fitting room so that I could have them to try on with the other outfits I put together but totally fell in love with them! I’m not going to link them in every single picture below, but I’ll include them at the very bottom where I’ll link everything I tried on. Oh and I didn’t mention, but everything is 40% off!

Unless otherwise noted, I’m wearing a size XS or 0 which is my typical Loft sizing for reference, and I’m 5’7″ to give you an idea on length.

sweater / pants

This sweater is great for spring/summer. Light-weight with the prettiest shade of blue incorporated into the stripes. I’m wearing the small but could have easily sized up to a medium, so I’d say it runs small. The pants are so good. I may end up going back for them, but I hesitated because I already have a few pairs of go-to pants in this color. They are very comfortable. A relaxed fit with a drawstring waist. They could easily go from casual to dressed up with heels and a blazer.

hoodie / pants

Here are the same pants with a cozy, short-sleeved loose-fitting, Lou & Grey hoodie. This color happens to be on sale with an additional 40% off.

hoodie / shorts

It also comes in this marled grey which is equally as cute and cozy. The shorts are a great option for a slightly dressed up short.

tee / shorts

Here’s another look at the shorts. The crepe material and flat front looks very sleek and the elastic waist keeps them nice and comfy…

shorts

They have a 4 inch inseam which is great when you want to dress them up and even wear them semi-professionally with a blazer.

romper

This romper is adorable. I love the stripes, the soft color combo and the v-neck and tie waist give it such a lovely shape. I would have gone with my typical Loft size 0, but they didn’t have one in stock. This is a 00 and was way too snug in the rear!

romper / blazer

I adore it paired with this pink blazer which I fell hard for. The quality is amazing, it feels very luxe. Granted I don’t need a professional wardrobe but I plan on wearing this casually over tee’s and jeans, over dresses and jumpsuits and with my wide-leg Everlane pants.

dress

I joked on Instagram yesterday that I felt very 50’s house-wife in this dress, but in the best of ways. Yellow isn’t my best color but otherwise I loved everything about it.

dress

I didn’t have a good enough excuse to purchase this dress, but oh my was it lovely! It’s a faux wrap with adjustable straps and a tie waist. The pleated bottom and polka dots are the perfect touch to this sweet dress. If you’re much larger than a C cup up top you may struggle with the fit as it is tacked to prevent it from gaping open and I’m guessing (and reviewers confirm) that it may not lay as expected.

dress / jacket

I love how it looks with a jean jacket tossed on top. Makes it all the more versatile.

dress / jacket

If you’re on the hunt for a jean jacket, this is a great one. It has a shapely fit, a nice amount of stretch and great sleeve length (always a struggle for me!).

tank / pants

Two really great pieces here. The color combo is one of my favorites! I love the fluid, wide leg pants. Another pair of pants with an elastic waist! A white button-up would also look great as would a plain tee.

tank

The tank is also super cute. I love it paired with these pants, but it could go with denim cut-offs or a midi skirt just as easily. It also comes in a solid white which you can find here.

sweatshirt

Since I can’t get enough floral, here’s a cute, lightweight sweatshirt that’s perfect for chilly mornings/evenings or for air conditioned offices! It has enough structure to swing it for a casual work environment as well.

dress

Mixed reviews on this one. I sized up to the 2 for length which made the body a bit loose, but many of the reviews say that it ran very small overall for them. It may work well for you petite ladies though! I have seen positive reviews on this similar dress from Madewell however, so if you like this style, I’d check that one out!

tank / skirt

This skirt is another one I still have my eye on, it’s so vibrant! Pockets, elastic waist and a beautiful floral print, what’s not to love? I threw this tank on with it which is one of their essential tanks. They make it in solids and stripes as well and it’s a really great basic tank. I’m wearing a S but could even size up to a M for a little more wiggle room.

tank / skirt

My apologies on the print overload here, but I didn’t have any good tops to pair with this skirt in the fitting room with me. I loved this skirt though. I don’t own any midi skirts so I brought this one home to play with. I’m picturing it with t’shirts and chambray tops!

jacket / skirt

Here it is with a jacket to give you a better look and tone down the prints!

That’s it for today! Hope it gives you some inspiration for some outfits to come in your own closet! Have a great long weekend everyone!!

Loft Sale + Try-On

I’m glad you gals enjoy try-on sessions, because on the heels of Wednesday’s Madewell try-on comes one for Loft! Everything I’m sharing is 40% off, so it’s the perfect (and only) time I like to shop! There are a bunch of cute options for showers, Mother’s Day, fun get-togethers etc. I also found great everyday pieces that can easily be tied into workwear as well. One piece they didn’t have in our store unfortunately was this pretty maxi skirt. I would have loved to see it in person!

I had Madelyn, my 6 (almost 7) year old with me and she was the best helper! If I have a tag-along it’s typically Audrey (3) who’s not quite as helpful, lol! I didn’t realize how beneficial, and fun, it would be to have Madelyn with me. She had everything ready for me, took care of re-buttoning and re-hanging and shared her thoughts on all of my outfits while dancing around and entertaining herself all the while. I think she has a new position :)

Here’s what we found this time around. Everything is linked within the post as well as a roundup of everything linked at the bottom.

Such a fun, tiered swing dress. I love the polka dots and the fact that it comes in mini sizes for a mommy and me look! It does run rather short, so I sized up to a S which was a little big overall, but still worked.

I loved the look and fit of this romper. It looks like a dress but has a built in skirt underneath. The color isn’t the best for me, but it was very pretty!

This is one of those Lou & Grey dresses that feels as though you’re wearing pj’s outside the house. I’m wearing the S here, but would have gone with a XS had it been in stock. I can’t track this one down online yet, but once I can I’ll update!

Another adorable romper! I loved the color and print on this one and the fit was great. It ran a little short on me (I’m 5’7″), but it would be great for date night or my petite ladies!

Here’s a close-up of the beautiful print.

I had seen this dress before and was excited to try it on. I do love the print, but on me it didn’t really do much.

I brought this sleeveless top home with me because I know it’s one I would reach for frequently. I tried it on here with this cute denim skirt. This shift style could easily pass for many work environments with it’s sleek fit and dark denim.

This is a great spring/summer jacket. It’s made of a softer material, so it’s not stiff like some jackets are. I love the stand up collar, cinched waist and the fact that it wears more like an oversized shirt.

I liked the idea of these chambray pants, but once on, they didn’t excite me very much. Just kind of ehh.

Give me a good basic tee and I’m allover it. Actually, I already wore this one yesterday :) The puff sleeves and embroidery were all it took.

Here’s a closer look with an inevitable front-tuck ;)

This top may come off as simple…

Until you catch a glimpse of the detail on the back! So pretty!

This might be the one I regret not buying. I love the colors, print and subtle peplum. It would look great under a white or pink blazer or even denim jacket.

A touch of embroidery is all it takes to turn a basic shirt into one with so much character. I knotted the ends here for a casual look, but it could be buttoned and tucked in as well.

One final lightweight, neutral sweater that’s perfect for chilly summer nights with denim shorts or over trousers in an air conditioned office.

My little helper <3 I’ll savor the days that she enjoys shopping with me!

LOFT Try-On

Hey guys! I’ve got another Loft try-on for you today! It’s funny, there are times I stop in store just to see what’s new and browse around a bit, never knowing if I’ll have enough content to pull a whole post together with or not. But wouldn’t you know, I find more than enough every single time, lol!

Like most retailers, they are in the midst of pulling out the start of Spring pieces that still work for the Winter season we continue to be in the midst of. Transitional pieces are always the pieces you end up getting the most wear out of though, aren’t they? Lightweight sweaters and button-ups that can be worn alone or layered, dresses that can pair with OTK boots just as well as with booties or a cute pair of wedges. There’s a bit of everything, per usual, so here’s what I find this time around…

Love this cute speckled sweater. The colors are absolutely perfect for Spring. I’d size up on this one though, I’m typically a small in their sweaters but I’m wearing a medium here. Here’s a closer look…

Pretty, isn’t it? Think about pairing this with some colorful trousers.

I’m always up for a good bow. This blouse is so sweet and feminine. It’s light-weight and work really well under a blazer. It’s chambray in color (is that a color?) so you could pair it with any number of skirts or bottoms.

I wish I could capture the beautiful shade of grey/green that this cardigan is in person. It’s really so lovely! You can layer it over joggers and a tee or a button up and jeans. A great cozy layer! I have this layering tee underneath that’s wonderful too, I brought it home with me in the grey.

Another great layering tee. This dolman tee in the prettiest blue/green was a really good staple to find.

You can see the length and shape of it better here.

This is such a fun and unique blouse! It will require the right styling, but it could be worn so many different ways. I would consider a thin belt to help add shape or layering under a cardigan or long vest (as you can see below). I attempting tying it in the front, but there was a lot of material and I couldn’t get it to lay quite right. I could have sized down however and that may have helped had they had a size smaller in stock.

You can see it layered here (not that I love this color combo per se), and obviously it would pair really well with leggings, bonus if they are faux leather!

Here’s the back. So fun!

I’m always drawn to this pretty shade of green, and Loft is all over it right now! Here’s a great top, especially for a work environment.

The detailing is beautiful.

The skirt is very comfy and I love the herringbone pattern that really stands out in person. As with most of their skirts though, I found this to run large. I’m in a size 0 and it was still a bit too large (I’m more of a true size 2 for reference).

The ladies at my local Loft couldn’t believe I wasn’t buying this dress. Honestly, I adore it too, but I didn’t have a good enough excuse to get enough wear out of it. But that’s why I love what I do, I get to play dress up and share all these fun pieces that some of you actually do need :)

So for those that are in need of a new Springy dress (that could still be worn now), make sure you check out this one! It’s darling.

This light-weight button up shirt was much more up my everyday alley and came home with me for sure. I love how they had it tied here, but it also works well tucked in….

Or layered under a jacket or cardi…

It comes in this other print as well and I’d highly recommend either one.

Love LOFT Try-On

Hi guys! I was in LOFT over the weekend and found so many cute things that I figured it would be worth sharing with you on here. One of the best things about LOFT is that you can find just about any type of outfit you need. From sweats to lounge around in, to dresses that you can wear to work or a night out, they have you covered with that and everything in between. Here’s what I found this time around…

We’ll start with the cutest heart sweater that’s perfect all winter but most especially around Valentine’s Day <3 It runs true to size, I’m in an XS here for reference and like the fit although you could size up if you wanted a little more length.

Next is this pretty wrap sweater. It’s not a true wrap which I actually like. It keeps everything in place so you don’t have to worry about any shifting. I love that this could be worn with skinny jeans and booties or trousers and heels. TTS, I’m in an XS.

These are the pants I’m wearing in the above picture. I’m a sucker for a tuxedo stripe. As I’ve mentioned before, I’m prone to the ‘rear gap’ in many of Loft’s pants, and that holds true here. But if that doesn’t affect you, then you’ll likely adore these pants.

Such a pretty lightweight sweater. I love the floral print and although the neck is a bit wide, it lays nicely and would even look good with a button-up layered underneath.  Fit is TTS, I’m in an XS here but I would have sized up to S for more sleeve length if I would have ended up purchasing.

And of course, these adorable jeans. They have a great amount of stretch, so although I’m in my normal size here, I could have potentially sized down.

This top is actually referenced as a sweatshirt, but it’s the dressiest of sweatshirts. A skinny pair of trousers and some heels would look great with it. The pattern is beautiful and the neckline is so feminine and very Jackie O.

How adorable is this sweatshirt. I true sweatshirt material with the sweetest little embellishment. I’m wearing a S here and would say it’s TTS.

Yep, more tuxedo stripes! These are more of a legging but they have a zipper and hook closure making them a little more versatile for your wardrobe. I feel like this type of waist allows you do add a front tuck which you know is my bff.

Such a great polka dot, wrap dress. I love the navy/white combo, the fact that it can be worn for work, church or even a date night. The wrap is sewn in place and the dress zips up the back. It’s made of a thicker material so the shape is really great, keeping everything in place.

Oh ladies, this dress is so much fun! I’d pair it with some opaque tights and a cute bootie and earrings for date night (or Valentine’s Day). Fits TTS, I’m in an XS here.

This top is like a glorified thermal. I love the split hemline and the soft blush/grey color combo. I’d wear it with a cozy pair of Lou & Grey sweats for a perfect loungy outfit. I’m wearing a S here but would have sized down to a XS because I think it looks better a little more fitted and less oversized.

A terrible picture, but here I’m wearing the A+++ of all sweats that I rave about along with everyone else.

I love how different this sweater is from most that catch my eye. The colors, the pattern, the quality are all on point. I’m wearing a S but would have sized down had they had an XS in store. I feel like the S loses it’s shape on me. I’d love it a touch smaller with a little front tuck ;)

Call me a creature of habit. Or maybe I just know what I like. But a pastel hoodie is not something I’d pass up. I wore it all day yesterday and can vouch for the coziness. Perfect for lounging or traveling if you have any plans coming up. I’m wearing a S here, TTS.

Here’s another good lounge combo. This open front cardi is the softest thing ever and the Lou & Grey long sleeved tee underneath is perfect for layering and comes in a few color options.

And finally is this cute Lou & Grey swing sweater. It has a dolman sleeve and lays really well. I’m actually sitting in it now as I type this from my fav little coffee shop. I paired it with skinny jeans, booties and my Nickel & Suede earrings this time around.

It also comes in this bold purple which is very pretty, but as you know, I’m a sucker for all things muted in color :)

LOFT Sale

Happy Friday, all! I know it’s such a crazy time for everyone right now, but it’s also so magical, isn’t it? Tonight we’ll be attending Jack and Madelyn’s Christmas concert which is always such a great performance. Then we actually have a somewhat calm weekend before the insanity of next week starts. The week before Christmas can be such a blur, but then everything comes to a sudden halt and I so look forward to that time.  Pj’s and cookies and movies and eggnog and family and friends, loooove it!

In case you didn’t hear, LOFT is offering 50% off your purchase once again. And since that’s when we all shop, I wanted to share my current ‘best of’s’. I’ve got a little bit of everything to share so you’re covered for holiday festive to cozying up by the fire and everything in between.

You already saw me style this sweater on Monday, so you know it made it’s way home with me. I love the cropped length and the chunky knit. It runs TTS and I’m wearing a small.

For my fellow pastel fans, here’s a pretty plaid sweater. It’s Lou & Grey, very cozy and I’d likely pair it with some of their sweats to dress it down at home.

Another great Lou & Grey sweater. I love mixing grey and brown, so I’m all about this striped combo.

I rarely wear red, but this outfit just calls for it! I love the bold pop of color from the pants and the feminine lace detail on the sweater. You’d get your wear out of it all winter long.

If I could come up with enough reasons to buy all the dressy things, trust me, I would. This top was adorable! It’s a true wrap top, fitting TTS (I’m in an XS) with a button closure at the chest.

Not that I’d necessarily wear these two pieces together, but I wanted to show you the tunic length of this sweater that’s perfect for leggings. And if you are on the lookout for some out of the ordinary leggings, the color on this velvet pair is very pretty.

I really liked this dress but it just wasn’t doing much for me. I love how it looks on the model however, and if it fell a little shorter on me I think that would have been helpful.

If you need a piece that’s festive but not over the top, this dress is worth checking out. It’s stretchy and fitting without being clingy. You could easily wear a faux fur vest and knee high boots or even tights and some heels.

This sweater dress was awesome. Not too thick, not too thin, not too short, not too long. Add leggings or knee high boots and you’re set!

These Lou & Grey leggings caught my eye not only for the tuxedo stripe but also the speckled material. I could see them being dressed up a bit just as easily as they could be dressed down.

I love the colors in this blouse. Another piece that could be very versatile in your closet. Throw on a cardi or a blazer and pair with anything from denim to trousers or a pencil skirt.

If I had to convince you on making one purchase, this would be it. I’m not kidding, this duster has become my new ‘house coat’. And if that’s not a thing, it is now! I’ve been wearing this every single day over my pj’s (it’s currently wrapped around me as I type). It’s that magical Lou & Grey material that’s cozier than anything else I own and it adds the perfect layer of warmth for these cold winter days. I’m wearing a small and would say it’s TTS.

These pants unfortunately weren’t in store, so I had to order them. They arrived yesterday and I’m loving them. They run slightly big (I’m usually a 2 in their slim trousers, but these straight leg pants are a 0). They aren’t lined, but since the fit is loose it’s not really an issue. They are ankle length which is perfect for pairing with heels and I could see any number of festive tops being paired with these. As of now, this is what I’ll likely be wearing to our Christmas Eve service.

I hope that helps you guys! LOFT is always one of my favorite places to shop because you can find a little bit of everything. And being able to get it for 50% off is just the cherry on top!

We Love LOFT Sale

Happy Friday guys! There’s a great Loft sale underway and I’ve got a lot of great pieces to share with you! Earlier this week I teamed up with my good friend Rebecca from Mommy in Heels over on Instagram to share how the same pieces look on different body shapes and sizes. I saved those images so you can find them easily on my highlights. So many of you reached out to say how helpful that was which I’m so happy to hear! No two bodies are the same and shopping online can be a difficult task, so I’m all for helping to ease that process for you all any way I can.

Our fab Loft ladies were busying un-boxing so many goodies when I was in there, so I know there’s even more that I’ll have to get back in to check out! For reference, I typically wear a size XS/S or a size 2. Here’s what I was able to try on and all the details:

I was excited to see this sweater in person. It’s beautiful. I love the color and it’s very soft. The sleeves ran slightly short on me even in a size small which was the only downside for me. I often struggle with Loft denim as I typically have a gap in the rear. That was minimal in these however, and if you typically have luck with their denim, I highly recommend this pair. Mid-rise, great medium wash and a perfect amount of distressing.

How cute is this preppy little look that Rebecca put together? I love a good striped turtleneck (well, a good striped anything really!), and this knit blazer is perfect paired over top. It has great stretch yet looked very structured and chic. You can find my metallic loafers here. Wearing XS top, 2 in the blazer and 2 in the denim.

The colors in this sweater were hard to pass up. The only downside here was that it wasn’t super soft and I’m pretty picky about my sweaters these days :) Wearing a size S.

You may as well go grab one of these in every color because this is a great tunic! It’s thin which makes it perfect for layering under a blazer or under your more fitted winter coats. I always love the classy look of a turtleneck. Wearing an XS.

I’m not sure I’ve ever tried on a more comfortable wrap dress. This thing really does fit like a glove and can easily be dressed up as much as you needed. I wore an XS here.

Such a great shirt dress in this beautiful plaid. If you’d prefer just the shirt, it comes in that as well which is a great option. How cute would it be with OTK boots and a fur vest? Wearing an XS.

Let’s call this our post-Thanksgiving dinner outfit! I brought home another pair of Lou & Grey joggers (seriously guys, if you don’t own a pair yet, pick a color or two and grab them now!) which I wear ALL the time. This super-soft striped top pairs perfectly with them as well as leggings or denim. Top is XS and bottoms are S (I have others in XS but they were out and the smalls fit very similarly).

There really were too many good sweaters in this round up. Although it isn’t, this one basically felt like cashmere. Long length which would allow it to pair well with leggings. Guaranteed you’d be reaching for this one over and over. Wearing an XS.

Very pretty everyday sweater and a great pair of Lou & Grey utility pants. The green was in store but doesn’t appear to be online yet. Wearing XS in both pieces.

Such a darling polka dot top. This would look so pretty with a red skirt or trousers for the holidays. These are my Madewell jeans that I had worn that day, this is the most similar pair.

I think this one topped the charts for me. This Lou & Grey sweater has an over-sized fit but still has a great shape. And not only is it soft, but the colors are SO pretty in person. I received compliments on it all day when I wore it yesterday. Can’t say enough about this one other than don’t let it sell out on you! Wearing the XS.

I love the navy/grey combo on this one, but even more I love the detail on the back…

So if you don’t sport short hair, get those pony tails ready! Wearing the XS.

This lace top makes for a great layering base. The mock neck adds an additional pretty detail without being overly feminine.

I grabbed this top not thinking it would be anything special but I absolutely loved it once I had it on. Maybe it’s the whole green-eyed thing, but I love the fit as well and plan on layering it under some of my cardigans. Wearing an XS.

And that’s all for today! I hope this helps you and provides some outfit inspiration! Have a great weekend!

Friends & Family Sale: LOFT

Since we all love a good LOFT sale, I did my due diligence and tried on some of my favorites to share with you. Let’s just say there’s a lot of goodness, so be prepared!

Let’s start with this adorable cropped cardigan in the prettiest shade of pink. It pairs beautifully with the plums and greens of fall.

Here it is layered over one of their pretty fall tops. Paired with trousers or a pencil skirt, this would easily be work appropriate.

After discussing how I’ve been paring down my closet in Wednesday’s post, I had to really consider this top….because it’s soo pretty. I rationalized all the ways I could wear it….and then it came home with me. So stay tuned ;)

This sweater has gained popularity very quickly, and I can see why. The bold leopard print and the slight bubble sleeve give it a fun bit of flair.

Tunic sweaters are always great to have in your closet because they pair perfectly with leggings in addition to denim or dress pants. And it’s hard to pass up a this beautiful shade.

I love the plaid print and subtle ruffle detail on this blouse. It’s a great layering piece, as you can see here…

I’d love to see these pieces paired with some navy pants and heels. The jacket is very comfortable and the herringbone pattern is so pretty in person.

This hooded sweatshirt cardigan basically makes it ok to head out in your bathrobe, maybe even better.

I’m not sure any picture could do this dress justice. This Lou & Grey dress is made with their softest material, yet shaped into a chic little dress. Basically the best of both worlds.

Since we’re talking cozy, I’ve had this top for a few weeks now and have been changing into it just about every evening. You can pick between this pretty green or a lovely pink, but I promise you won’t regret this one. And if you want a great pair of black sweat pants, check these out.

This is a great casual sweater. It has a nice length although not quite tunic length and a hood is always a fun addition.

Lastly, here’s a great faux wrap top. Perfect for work or weekend and it’s sewn at the top so there’s no need to worry about it staying in place.

We Love Loft Sale

Happy Friday, all! There’s a big sale happening at Loft so I’m taking you into the dressing room with me and sharing some of my favorite fall pieces thus far. There were some really great finds that are likely going to turn into constant repeat items in my closet this season! Use code NEWNOW to receive 40% off your purchase.

Let’s start with this sleeveless sweater because it fell at the top of my list. The colors and stripes are so perfect for fall and I’m very much looking forward to pairing it with denim, black pants and leggings! These tanks are great staples if you’re on the hunt as well.

And speaking of a another good staple, these tee’s are always great to have on hand. I love the green stripes on this one, perfect for fall layering.

This top is by Lou & Grey, so you can imagine how soft it is.

It has a great drapey fit and I adore having the extra length in the back (hellooo leggings).

If you need a dressy top, this top is worth trying! It’s a true wrap top and has a great fit with a hidden button closure at the perfect spot.

I’m all over wrap tops and sweaters this season because I love how flattering the fit can be. The color on this one is so beautiful. The only down side is that it has a bit of ‘itch’ to it. So you may consider sizing up and layering under it.

Yet another adorable sweater. This one has a looser fit and not only could be dressed down…

But I love it paired with this skirt! For those of you that have a dressier work style, you must try out this skirt. They didn’t have my size, so overall it’s falling a bit long on me, but I could tell the fit would have been right on.

The amount of pieces you could pair with the skirt seem endless. How pretty is this color combo though?! You can find the blouse here.

This is such a great fall dress. I can totally see it worn with knee high boots and a scarf for a more dressed down look.

This bright shift skirt is out of the norm for me, but there was something about being able to pair it with all of the fall colors that drew me in.

Some of you have seen me wear this sweater already and I highly recommend it. I don’t love all cardigans but I thought the length (and color) of this one was just perfect.

This blazer caught my eye and as soon as I felt it I knew it wasn’t your typical stiff blazer. It’s soft and has a nice amount of stretch to it, so you could keep this on hand to wear around casually over t-shirts and jeans in addition to wearing it with any career wear outfits.

And last was this loose fitting cardigan that comes in the softest khaki/camel color. This could quickly become an everyday go-to!
