a lovely living

I’m Marisa, wife to my wonderful husband, Jack and mother of three (Jack, 13, Madelyn, 10, and Audrey, 7). I have cherished being able to be home with my children through their early years but also love having an outlet of my own. A Lovely Living is my own little space where I share my ideas on style, favorite recipes I come across, my take on decor and the occasional DIY projects. Following another passion of mine, I became a True Color Expert in the Spring of 2018 and have been helping to specify the perfect paint colors for clients ever since. I handle everything from from selecting wall color for those looking for a change to helping with new builds and major renovations that call for piecing all the components of a home together (coordinating countertops and backsplash tile isn’t always as simple as you may think!). My husband and I lived in Hoboken, NJ for the better part of 10 years before settling back closer to home in State College, PA where we are currently raising our family. I’m a Christian woman and although much of what I focus on here is for outward appearance and beautiful spaces, I believe true beauty comes from within. I’m the oldest of four, I love chocolate, peanut butter and sweets in general, I enjoy running and working out as my schedule allows, I’ve always wanted long wavy hair yet I find myself chopping it off time after time and I get overjoyed when I find a perfect white tee.
