Happy Wednesday! I’ve been going back and forth on whether or not to share a full blog post on this project or just share some images on social media, but in the end, I figured it was too cute not to share. My friend Charlotte has been a style client of mine for a number of years now, but since I’m now branching out into the design world, she and her husband brought me on to help design this half bath for them. Previously, this was an unfinished area in their basement that had a bunch of potential to meet more of their needs. I’ve gotten to know them both over the past few years, so I had a good sense for the look they were going for. We chatted and emailed, browsed together and came up with a plan for this bathroom that would be crisp and clean with a bit of elegance (we didn’t want to take it too far for a basement half bath). I have a feeling however, that they’ve made more than a few treks downstairs for the sole purpose of using this bathroom ;)
The pedestal sink allowed the room to feel open and the wall shelf provided a space that can be used for a bit of storage or decor.
This beautiful window was something the couple had picked up years prior during a trip and had yet to find a good home for. I was determined to make it work in here and thankfully it was the perfect touch that added some ‘old’ to the ‘new’.
I found the mirror at Pottery Barn and it turned out to be a perfect fit for the space.
Blue/greens are a favorite color of Charlotte’s, so I went in with samples of SW Sea Salt and SW Comfort Gray. In the end she chose SW Comfort Gray which is a essentially a more saturated version of SW Sea Salt. It’s pretty as seen here but even more stunning of a color in person.
This was such a fun project to work on and thanks to Celestino Builders and Remodelers, it came together seamlessly! They were meticulous with every detail and the homeowners were overjoyed with the end result.
