Fall Tablescape

I’m new to tablescaping, being that this is our first year with an actual dining room table, but I’m working on it. For this season I wanted to decorate using items that would not only make it through October (Halloween) but also on to Thanksgiving. I browsed Pinterest for ideas/inspiration and found this and this which I loved.  I wanted to use some items that I already owned mixed in with some new bargains I scored at HomeGoods, TJMaxx, Target and Pier1.  I did grab a few pieces to add as Halloween approaches, but for now, this is what it looks like.

I found this pumpkin at HomeGoods and the filler is a mix from Pier1 and Target. The faux tea-lights add some lovely ambiance in the evening.

This was the third runner I came home with and after returning the other two, I decided that this one had the most to offer.

This little guy came from Target. The m&m’s don’t have a chance in this house.

The tray is an older purchase from Target and I believe the candlesticks were a wedding gift from Pottery Barn.

I’m not one for over-embellishment, so this tablescape is working out very nicely.

I’d love to know, how do you decorate your table?

I love your tablescape, the silver pumpkin adds such glam! Love that it gives a definite fall feel without screaming orange and yellow.

I did my dining room table up for fall somewhat like you did. I started with a tray, and filled it with fall leaves. I added a mini scarecrow and a pumpkin on a clear glass pedestal.

Thanks Whitney! I don’t love the oranges/yellows/reds either…I’d much rather decorate in blues, but fall doesn’t exactly call for that. Your tablescape sounds like it came together beautifully!
