Happy Monday, all! Today wraps up our month long tour of birthdays for our family! My eldest child, Jack, turns 9 years old today. Somehow I’m at peace with this one, but come the big 1-0, I’ll likely be having some growing pains of my own! Jack is my soccer star, a football fanatic, an avid reader, loves learning about history and space and seems to be the entertainer of his classroom. As much as I wish I could bottle him up and keep him little, it’s also such a joy to see him grow and become this little man all of his own. I’m so thankful to God for blessing us with him and I’m positive he’s taught me more than I’ll ever be able to teach him!
As for the outfit…denim on denim is such a basic combo to pull together, yet I can easily forget about pairing them. The only rule I try to follow (when pairing my blue denims at least) is to make sure they contrast enough. Try it with your denim jeans, shorts or skirts and throw on a chambray top or denim jacket with them. I always love an exposed button on my jeans, so I suppose it’s no surprise that I was drawn to this denim skirt in particular. I’ve had it since last year, but thankfully it’s back in stock again!
